Rockstone Health is live and open for business.
It’s taken a while but we have got there. How did we get here? A friend of mine based in London suddenly got a call from Nigeria that his father had fainted one evening. He had to cough up roughly £4000 that same day or his father would not be alive today.
First, he started calling around finding a hospital of repute. He had lived in Lagos for many years before he left for the UK. He got a number for a hospital in Lagos but they had no ambulance. They would eventually find one at a huge cost willing to drive to Ogbomoso with paramedics to get his father.
If his father was working for any of the oil companies in Nigeria, this would never have happened. Corporate firms tend to have the best private healthcare for the employees and would often travel abroad if treatment cannot be provided locally.
Rockstone Health was created to ensure that this gap – providing healthcare to individuals – can be bridged.
Expect some hiccups with our tech systems but our heart is in the right place. Insurance should provide you with peace of mind.
