All over the world, when it comes to looking after our elderly, healthcare can be an expensive case of hit/miss.
You could imagine our delight when we discovered that we could provide healthcare for our elderly with nearly all our leading HMOs on the African continent after early negotiations.
Typically, no claims can be made for pre-existing conditions within the first 6 months to a year, and bills are currently shared (70% HMO – 30% account holder) after cover level limits but it is virtually impossible to get private cover for over 65s in the West!

Our elderly are notorious for enduring pain as part of ageing and also because they would rather not bother us financially. However, leaving things till it is too late is not definitely not the way to go. Now they can simply take their health cards and get attended to without expense when they are free to do so. That for me, is definitely a win-win!
